Description

The ProAc Response D30RS is the ribbon tweeter version of the D30 speakers. These speakers use a new polymer-backed carbon fiber cone bass driver mounted in a slim enclosure.

Bass loading
Bass loading is achieved by side-vented directional loading similar to that used in the D40, producing an extremely precise and powerful bass response with good extension and low coloration.

Carbon fiber cones
ProAc has recently implemented the use of carbon fibre in the cones of the Response D40 and Carbon Pro 8, and Kevlar in the Tablette Anniversary and K6 models, thus achieving levels of sound quality that were only dreamed of a few years ago.

The exhaustive research involved in the development of these models and the materials used has enabled us to design cones that offer excellent frequency response characteristics and the new Response D30RS is the latest model to harness the acoustic excellence of carbon fibre.

Crossover
The crossover network uses custom, premium components and multi-strand oxygen-free copper wiring. The classic ProAc split crossover design offers bi-wiring and bi-amping options. The D30RS therefore offers similar bass loading, cone material, tweeter, and crossover network to its larger sibling, making it the ideal choice for those who require a smaller floorstander but still demand sonic excellence.

Floorstanding or bookshelf speakers: a guide to choosing

Imposing tower or compact bookshelf? It's the question every enthusiast asks at least once, and the answer is never obvious. The choice between floorstanding and bookshelf speakers depends on more than just budget or space...

Anatomy of a Tower: What Makes a Speaker Unique

A floorstanding speaker is built to stand alone, without the need for external supports. Its height—often between 80 and 120 centimeters—allows it to house multiple separate drivers: a tweeter for highs, a midrange driver for midrange, and one or more woofers for bass. This multi-way configuration offers more granular control over different portions of the sound spectrum.
