Description
Thinking of the Crescendo CD Player as a "common" high-end player, or even worse, as a "low-end" high-end player, would be completely misleading!!! The Crescendo CD Player is the result of extensive research that resulted in the implementation of technologies previously only used in reference players. The challenge was undertaken with the additional requirement of maximizing the performance/cost ratio. This required the designers Audio Analogue to explore new circuit solutions and led to results that went far beyond the already ambitious initial goals!
The CD-5010A mechanism used is specifically designed by Teac for high-quality audio applications. The CD-5010A was developed from a CD-ROM mechanism by reducing its rotation speed to avoid mechanical vibrations. The reading process has been improved, particularly by reducing jitter. The staff at Audio Analogue collaborated with Teac on fase development and testing in particular for vibration tests.
The DA conversion circuit is made up of a Burr Brown 192KHz/24Bit very low recovered system clock receiver (residual jitter of 50ps!) and a Burr Brown 24Bit/192KHz DAC with Enhanced Multilevel Delta Sigma architecture. The conversion part is made on a separate board to avoid any interference between digital and analog circuits.
In this product Audio Analogue We focused heavily on the output stage, where we decided to embark on a new design path. We created a fourth-order active filter that, together with the single-pole filter inside the DAC, forms a fifth-order filter. Such a high-order filter (this type of approach is usually only found in very, very expensive players!) allows for "free" selection of the output filter's cutoff frequency, resulting in excellent performance, especially in terms of defining the music soundstage. The problem with this approach (which is why it is not used except in very high-end products) is the increase in distortion and noise due to the large number of stages the music signal must pass through. The designers of Audio Analogue They used all their experience and technology to design each part and choose each passive component in order to reduce overall distortion and noise, obtaining after a long work an amazing result!
The management software is the result of careful and long research aimed at making the most of the management of the CD-5010A mechanism for perfect sound performance and the best usability of the product.

About the brand
Audio Analogue is an Italian hi-fi electronics manufacturer based in Monsummano Terme, in the province of Pistoia. The idea for the first product took shape in 1995, and in January 1996, the brand made its name at the CES in Las Vegas with the prototype of a 40-watt integrated amplifier, the Puccini, which went into production in mid-1996. The actual first product was actually a converter, the Vivaldi, of which only 25 were built.
In the following years, the catalog expanded rapidly: the Puccini SE in 1997, the Bellini preamplifier and Donizetti power amplifier in 1998, the Paganini CD player in 1999, and finally the Maestro integrated amplifier in 2001, marking the brand's decisive move toward the high-end market. The names of Italian composers have become a recognizable signature of the brand. Audio Analogue is part of AF Group.
In 2013 the co-founder Claudio Bertini created Airtech, a laboratory and brand from which today cables, speakers and the most ambitious projects are born Audio AnalogueThe first fruit of this collaboration was the 2015 Puccini Anniversary, created to celebrate the first twenty years of activity: it is the brand's first amplifier with Zero Feedback circuitry, i.e. without global counter-reaction, a choice that makes it less sensitive to the speaker load.
The Anniversary line draws on the concepts of historic devices with Airtech technology; above it is the ABsolute line, while the PureAA recalls the construction simplicity of the first models while focusing on the best performance/price ratio. The AAcento was the first PureAA product: integrated without global feedback in both the pre and power stages, with a MM/MC phono stage and a Class A headphone output. The brand also includes BCD, dedicated to cables and accessories.
We offer three models from the Anniversary line: the Puccini Anniversary and Maestro Anniversary integrated amplifiers, and the Bellini Anniversary preamplifier. For vinyl, the AA Phono preamplifier from the PureAA line is available.
The Puccini Anniversary is the natural entry point to the high-end Audio AnalogueA complete integrated amp, suitable for most floorstanding speakers in standard home environments. The Maestro Anniversary is the perfect choice when you need more power and control, with large or inefficient speakers, or simply when you want the best in a single package. The Bellini Anniversary makes sense in a system with separate electronics, paired with a suitable power amplifier.
Those who listen to a lot of vinyl can use the AA Phono alongside any amplifier that doesn't have a good phono input.
In our showroom in Carpi you can listen to the Audio Analogue In the listening room, compare the different integrated amplifiers and check the match with your speakers with the advice of our staff. The models can also be ordered online at audiocostruzioni.com with shipping, and you can ask us for advice by email before purchasing. We'll also consider trading in your current components, so you can upgrade to a more premium model with less hassle.
