The Phono Box RS2 is the flagship phono stage in the Box series, and is designed for those who want to adjust rather than adapt.

Impedance, capacitance, and input gain are all variable, so the cartridge can be loaded exactly as the manufacturer specifies—or as your ear prefers. This is the practical difference between a phono stage of this class and one with fixed values: with an MC, the input loading audibly changes the high-end response.

There are two equalizations available, RIAA and DECCA, both completely passive . The DECCA curve is used for recordings prior to RIAA standardization: on those records, RIAA produces the wrong balance.

The circuit is dual Fully balanced, discrete mono. Inputs and outputs are both RCA and XLR, and it works with MM and MC cartridges.
