Supra Cables Supra is the brand of Jenving Technology AB, a Swedish company based in Ljungskile. Its history begins in 1976 with the Classic 2.5 speaker cable, the first product by Tommy Jenving, founder and leader of the company until his passing in 2011; 2026 therefore marks the brand's fiftieth anniversary. Supra states that it produces its cables at its facilities in Ljungskile.
Starting with speaker cables, the range has expanded to include analog interconnects, power cables, digital cables, HDMI, USB, and network cables. The approach is technical and simple: each cable family addresses a specific problem in the chain, from signal loss on long runs to interference in the electrical network.
The name LoRad stands for "low radiation." In LoRad power cables, the conductors are tightly twisted to reduce the magnetic field generated by the cable itself and even out the induced noise across all wires, while a semiconductive carbon and nylon shield, connected to earth along its entire length, discharges the collected noise. Sword speaker cable uses bifilar litz conductors: 24 individually insulated strands per pole, twelve twisted one way and twelve the other, for low inductance; the Sword Excalibur version uses 5N OFC copper with rhodium-plated connectors. Combicon terminals are combination connectors: a body crimped onto the cable and an interchangeable tip, spade or banana, that screws on with an M6 thread.
For sale you will find the Classic 2x6, Rondo 4x2.5 and 4x4.0 (also in bi-wire version), Ply 2x2.0 and 2x3.4, Quadrax, Sword, Sword Excalibur and XL Annorum speaker cables; the interconnects Dual, EFF-ISL, EFF-IXLR, Sword-ISL, Sword-IXLR and XL Annorum in RCA and XLR; the Sublink and Y-Link subwoofer cables, the phono cables, the digital Trico, Zac optical, USB, HDMI up to version 2.1 UHD8K and the CAT 8 network cable. For power there are the LoRad cables and the LoRad MD multi-sockets.
For speakers, it's best to start with the length and the terminals: the Rondo has four tinned conductors arranged in a star shape and also exists in a bi-wire version for speakers with double terminals, while the Sword and XL Annorum are the higher levels. The LoRad MD power strips are distinguished by their acronym: the SP versions add a mains filter and surge protection on all three terminal combinations. fase, neutral, and ground, the DC ones are a DC blocker, which can cause the transformers in the appliances to buzz. For a 4K or 8K TV with a soundbar or receiver, you need an HDMI 2.1 cable like the UHD8K.
At our Carpi showroom, you can try Supra cables on your system or in your listening room and receive advice on lengths, terminations, and pairings. All models can be ordered online at audiocostruzioni.com with shipping, asking us for advice first by email if necessary.
