About the brand
Advance Paris is a French hi-fi brand founded in 1995 under the name Advance Acoustic. It stands out for its hybrid amplification, combining a tube preamplifier with a transistor power amplifier, and in 2025 it celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with the APEX series.
The brand began with a range of five speakers; in the early 2000s, it expanded its offering to include center channels, surround speakers, and subwoofers for home theater. In 2002, it began developing its own electronics, and in 2004, it launched its first integrated amplifier. Today, the core of its production is electronics: integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, CD players, streamers, and Bluetooth receivers.
The most recognizable technology is hybrid amplification. In the A12 Classic integrated amplifier, an evolution of the A10 Classic, two ECC81/12AT7 valves, visible from the front window, work in the pre-amplification stage, while the final stage is a class AB transistor, with a construction dual mono and dual toroidal transformersdali, one per channel.
The APEX series, introduced in October 2025 to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary and positioned above the Classic line, includes the A8, A10, and A12 APEX hybrid integrated amplifiers and the ACD APEX CD player; the limited 30th Edition is recognizable by its black finish with white VU meters. The A12 APEX delivers 190 watts per channel into 8 ohms in Class AB.
