Description

The M series amplifiers with Mosfet final stage are the result of careful circuit research to maintain, even in an entirely solid state power amplifier, those qualities of speed and definition, combined with sweetness and richness of tone, which have made the success of the FT series , appreciated by critics, musicians and the most attentive audiophiles. A mono amplifier offers many advantages. There is total separation between the two channels and the amplifiers can be placed close to the speaker they need to drive. Furthermore, a large dissipating surface can be developed in relation to the external dimensions which allows high polarization currents up to class A operation.

The MOSFETs were chosen for their undoubted tonal qualities, for their intrinsic thermal stability and for the absence of secondary breakdown, which made it possible to avoid deleterious protections along the signal path. Combined with a generously sized power supply section, they make these amplifiers capable of driving any type of speaker, even the most difficult ones such as electrostatics. The high damping factor helps provide good control of the woofer, and therefore solid and fast bass.

The pilot circuit is composed of two transistor stages in helmet configuration, completely complementary, each with local feedback and operating in class A. It is thus characterized by great linearity of operation and a wide bandwidth.
The final stage has a high bias current (M9, M14), which allows it to work in class A at normal listening volumes. The MA4, MA8, MA15 models provide all their power in PURE CLASS A and should not be confused with many amplifiers declared class A, which in reality are not. Class A operation eliminates crossover distortion and improves frequency response, thus increasing definition and quality of sound.

The components, carefully selected based on sound and reliability over time, are of the highest quality. The chassis completely in anodized and satin aluminium, in addition to being aesthetically pleasing, ensures, with two generously sized heat sinks, reliability and constant performance even after long hours of work.
In conclusion, they are robust and reliable amplifiers, fast (rise time  2s), with a well-controlled bass, precise and detailed sound. Instruments are perfectly separated and localized, ambience and timbres are rendered with great naturalness, transients are reproduced with the impact of real music, without any sign of compression or harshness. The various models have the same circuit topology and differ only in the power supply, the number of components and the polarization.
