About the brand

Luxman is one of the historic brands of Japanese high fidelity: it was born in June 1925 in Osaka as the radio department of the Kinsuido frame shop, in the very year in which radio transmissions began in Japan.missionRadios. The brand is positioned at the high end of the hi-fi market and is known for the build quality of its electronics.
Initially, the company imported radio equipment and components; it soon decided to produce components such as transformers and switches in-house, a move that gave rise to the Luxman brand. The sound philosophy aims for a natural tonal balance that does not alter the original musical message.
Among the distinctive technologies is the ODNF (Only Distortion Negative Feedback) circuit, which applies feedback only to the signal's distortion components and has reached version 4.0. The latest LIFES (Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System) equips the latest-generation devices, such as the L-509Z integrated amplifier (version 1.0) and the L-100 CENTENNIAL (version 1.1). The LECUA (Luxman Electronically Controlled Ultimate Attenuator) adjusts the volume in steps of up to 88, with electronically switched fixed resistors, avoiding the limitations of traditional potentiometers; on the L-509Z it is present in the LECUA-EX version. The digital players use the proprietary LxDTM mechanism.
The Luxman range covers the entire hi-fi chain: Z-series transistor integrated amplifiers (L-505Z, L-507Z and L-509Z, the latter with 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms); the C-10X preamplifier and M-10X power amplifier; tube electronics such as the CL-38uC preamplifier, the MQ-88uC power amplifier and the SQ-N150 integrated amplifier; digital players such as the D-03R and D-07X, the DA-07X converter and the NT-07 streamer; phono preamplifiers (E-250, E-07), cartridges and the PD-151 MARK II and PD-191A turntables, the latter a belt-drive turntable with a brushless DC motor and a 10-inch LTA-710 tonearm.
For its centenary, Luxman presented the CENTENNIAL series: the L-100 class A integrated amplifier, the D-100 SACD/CD player, the P-100 headphone amplifier and the B-100 monoblock power amplifier.
