Sul marchio

HiFi Rose è un marchio audio sudcoreano nato nel 2017 a Seoul come divisione di Citech Co., Ltd., azienda di elettronica che si occupa anche di decoder e chioschi interattivi. Il marchio è stato voluto dal presidente di Citech, Youngmin Kim, appassionato audiofilo, con l'obiettivo di portare nell'alta fedeltà l'esperienza del gruppo negli schermi touch e nei sistemi embedded.
La filosofia di HiFi Rose è quella di unire la comodità d'uso dello streaming moderno alla qualità sonora dell'hi-fi di alto livello. I lettori di rete del marchio sono riconoscibili per i grandi schermi touch integrati e per un sistema operativo proprietario, ROSE OS, che gestisce in un'unica interfaccia la musica in rete, i servizi di streaming e le librerie locali. Lo sviluppo del software di streaming e di buona parte dei circuiti avviene internamente.
Il cuore della produzione sono i lettori di rete, che rappresentano la parte più importante delle vendite del marchio. Lo streamer DAC RS150B utilizza il convertitore ESS Sabre ES9038PRO e riproduce file fino a PCM 32 bit/768 kHz e DSD512 nativo; in gamma c'è anche il lettore di rete RS250A. L'RS151 è il lettore di rete/DAC più recente con schermo a tutta larghezza, l'RS130 è una meccanica di rete pensata per lavorare con un DAC esterno e l'RD160 è un convertitore DAC bilanciato. Gli all-in-one RS520 e RS201E uniscono in un solo apparecchio streamer, DAC e amplificatore integrato.
Dal 2023 HiFi Rose produce anche amplificatori integrati. L'RA180, presentato all'High End di Monaco del 2023, utilizza un'amplificazione che il marchio chiama Class AD, con transistor di potenza al nitruro di gallio (GaN), e dichiara 200 watt per canale. L'RA280 è un integrato più semplice, con moduli di amplificazione mono separati, ingressi analogici e stadio phono per testine a magnete mobile. Completa il catalogo l'RSA780, un'unità CD esterna.
