L’apparecchio in questione, non ha certo bisogno di presentazioni: un Mc Intosh non è un apparecchio per tutti, non è solo ricco di fascino, ma anche e soprattutto di contenuti.

Per chi se lo può permettere, avrà per sempre la sicurezza di aver acquistato un oggetto allo stato dell’arte, dal valore certamente stabile nel tempo, che non seguirà le mode e vi accompagnerà costantemente nei meandri del mondo hi fi. Il prodotto risulta completissimo , con entrata phono e anche la possibilità di usarlo sia come pre che come finale . Un sacco di entrate , compresa quella XLR.

Power Guard
Power guard is another patented McIntosh innovation. When an amplifier is overdriven, by a sudden music peak, for instance, it can "clip" and send a burst of damaging energy to your speakers. This is the most common cause of damage to the "tweeter" element of speakers. Power Guard, an optical-electronic circuit, prevents clipping by instinctively turning the volume down, and then back up, in as little as 1/1000 of a second. Hard clipping is avoided, and speakers are safe while ensuring maximum safe power output.

Silent Electromagnetic Switching
Another McIntosh designed and executed exclusive. All this flexibility would be worthless if it meant increases in noise and distortion, so we keep the switching in our preamps and processors adjacent to the input/output jacks.
